Our specialised Wills and Probate department offers advice and assistance on Wills, Inheritance Tax planning, Enduring Powers of Attorney and winding up a Deceased’s estate.

By leaving a Will you can decide who will benefit from your estate rather than it being distributed according to the rules of intestacy. You will be able to appoint executors, guardians for your children, set out wishes and restrictions on gifts made and depending on your circumstances reduce your exposure to inheritance tax. We recognise that everybody’s situation is different and we offer practical and sensitive solutions whatever the circumstances.

The death of a loved one is a very difficult time. We do our utmost to settle a deceased’s affairs as quickly and efficiently as possible, whilst keeping all those concerned fully informed. Our Department provides assistance in calculating inheritance tax, obtaining probate and collecting in assets held in the UK and overseas.

The department is headed by Robin Sorrell and run on a day to day basis by our assistant solicitor Alane Lunn.
